Welcome to Matt's Page

My name's Matt Masuda. I am a software developer at a major airline. I started my career working in .NET with C# but recently I have been working mostly with Java and the Spring family of frameworks. Most of my experience is with back-end systems (as you might have guessed from my minimalist web page layout).

I have been working in IT for most of my adult life. I started out building PCs at a small computer store and worked my way up to system administration, at one point earning an MCSE certification. From there I moved into the computer networking industry, with stints at Bay Networks (which became part of Nortel), Foundry Networks (which became part of Brocade), and NetScaler (which became part of Citrix). I guess after all that it was natural to join an airline which ended up becoming part of a bigger airline.

I currently reside in a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. In my spare time I like to work on DIY projects around the house and do stuff outside like hiking, camping, and shooting. I also enjoy nerdy board games like Dominion, Ticket to Ride, and Suburbia.

How to find me:

This is sort of random stuff that I don't really have a better home for.
